The Magma is a Legendary weapon in Borderlands the Pre-Sequel. This Maliwan Sniper is good at dealing damage on it’s own, in addition to that the Magma is also great for inflicting incendiary damage. With an increased splash damage and elemental chance you will be able to spread a fire in groups of enemies. With the long range capabilities and decent damage on the Magma you don’t have to rely on the Damage over Time to take down your enemies.
Element:
Incendiary
Special Weapon Effects:
“Liquid hot.”
Always incendiary. Increased splash damage and elemental chance.
How to get the Magma ?:
The Magma can be obtained randomly from any suitable loot source.
How to Grind the Magma ?:
You can use the Grinder to create the Magma. While there is no guaranteed recipe, you can combine 2 Legendary weapons and 1 Purple Sniper to obtain a random legendary Sniper. Be sure to make it a luneshine grind for a “guaranteed” legendary and also get a chance of getting a luneshine buff.
Notes:
- The fire cloud inflicts 80% of listed weapon damage, and is affected by skills that boost grenade damage.
- Occasionally the incendiary DoT glitches, inflicting only one point of damage per DoT tick.
Trivia:
- This weapon shares an identical appearance to the Volcano, Another legendary Maliwan sniper rifle that appears in Borderlands 2.
- On some bladed variants, the blade takes on a more purple tone compared to other blades on other sniper rifles, referring to obsidian, a sharp glass formed in volcanoes. All variants also have this purple tone in the details of the weapon. The Volcano also does this.
