About the Re-Charger:
The Re-Charger is a Legendary item in Borderlands 3. This Hyperion shield is one of the better shields in the game as it has the capability to recharge your shield to full capacity when it is depleted. This basically gives you double the amount of shield then the listed capacity. However, this special ability only triggers once every 20 seconds. The Re-charger comes in various prefixes, each with additional bonus effects.
Elements:
None, Shock, Corrosive, or Radiation
Special Weapon Effect:
“Once more, with feeling.”
- Instantly recharges your shield when your shield is depleted.
- Instant recharge has a 20-second cooldown.
- Various prefixes each add different shield components to your shield.
How to get the Re-Charger?:
The Re-Charger can be obtained randomly from any suitable loot source but has a 15% chance to drop from Urist McEnforcer who is located in Lectra City on Promethea.
Notes:
- The Re-Charger does not pair well with the Deathless or Loaded Dice relics. This is because the Re-Charger’s special effect will not activate until after the final hit passes through to health damage. This can result in you going in to ‘fight for your life’ before regaining your shields as the special effect won’t kick in.
Trivia:
- The shield’s flavor text refers to the saying “once more, with feeling”, which means to try again but with more effort. It may also refer to the Buffy the Vampire Slayer episode: Once More, with Feeling.
