About the Recursion:
The Recursion is a Legendary Weapon in Borderlands 3. This Maliwan Shotgun has a slow fire rate and it even feels slower than the listed fire rate as Maliwan weaponry has a charge-up time. That said, the Recursion does pack a punch as it shoots a tight pellet of projectiles making it very accurate for a shotgun. The projectiles can also ricochet from one enemy to another or bounce off surfaces. The Recursion is really great for clearing mobs.
Elements:
Incendiary, Shock, Corrosive, Cryo, and Radiation.
Special Weapon Effect:
“See green text for description.”
“See red text for description. ”
- Fires a tight group of elemental projectiles that ricochet on impact.
- Spawns with 2 different elements.
- Very accurate.
How to get the Recursion?:
The Recursion can be obtained from any loot source but has a high chance of dropping from General Traunt who is located in the Desolation’s Edge on Nekrotafeyo.
Drop Rate:
The Drop Rate of the Recursion is 13.5% on Mayhem 6+; 30% Otherwise
Changelog:
- Hotfix – Aug 20, 2020
- Increased the ricochet cap from 5 to 7
- Patch – July 23, 2020
- GBX prevented elemental bonuses to spawn additional projectiles. Therefore, the Recursion won’t break your game anymore but also won’t clear mobs in 1 shot. Moxsy Analysis Video.
Notes:
The Recursion occasionally appears in Maurice’s Black Market.
