About the Super Soldier:
The Super Soldier is a Legendary Item in Borderlands 3 and part of The Director’s Cut. This Anshin Shield can provide some of the best Vault Hunter skills to any character. Because when your shield is full, you gain increased fire rate and movement speed but also Ammo Regeneration. Now everyone can enjoy Moze’s bottomless mag build.
Another cool thing is that you get a protective barrier when your shield is fully charged. This is basically like Zane’s Barrier and with an “On Action Skill Start, Trigger Shield Break/Full Effect” anoint, you can really become an unstoppable beast.
So where the Stop-Gap saves you from instant death the Super Soldier reinforces you when you are at the top of your game.

- Gain fire rate, ammo regeneration, and movement speed while your shield is full.
- On shield full, gain a protective barrier for 5 seconds
How to get the Super Soldier?
The Super Soldier is a Director’s Cut exclusive Legendary. You can get one by leveling up your ‘Fallen Heroes’ Vault Card. It will cost you 5 ‘Fallen Hero’ Vault Card Keys. The first one is a fixed reward and will be unanointed. When you redeem your next one it will be anointed. Vault Card weapons will always be redeemed at your character’s level.

- Lowered the bonus on the Vault Card’s Super Soldier shield. This is a temporary solution to address players occasionally creating additional unintended shield stacks with certain character skills. We’re currently investigating a long-term solution, at which point the values will be restored.
