The Torrent is a Legendary weapon in Borderlands the Pre-Sequel. This Dahl SMG’s excels at scoring critical hits due to its increased damage and decreased recoil. The recoil reduction is further increased when fired from the hip. This makes the Torrent especially useful in close quarters or against flying enemies.

Increased damage and capacity, greatly increased fire rate, greatly reduced recoil when hip-fired. No movement speed penalty while aiming down the sights. Fires a five shot burst. No burst fire delay.
How to get the Torrent ?:
The Torrent can be obtained randomly from any suitable loot source, as an increased chance to drop from Meg (thresher) located in Hyperion Hub of Heroism. You can find Meg in the trash compactor. The mission “Kill Meg” becomes available after the completion of the optional mission “Paint Job“.

How to Grind the Torrent ?:
You can use the Grinder to create the Torrent. While there is no guaranteed recipe, you can combine 2 Legendary weapons and 1 Purple SMG to obtain a random legendary SMG. Be sure to make it a luneshine grind for a “guaranteed” legendary and also get a chance of getting a luneshine buff.
Trivia:
- The mission “Kill Meg” is likely a reference to Star Wars Episode IV: A new hope and by proxy the Family Guy Star Wars parody movie Blue Harvest, where the character Meg is often depicted as the famous monsters in the Star Wars Universe. The monster in the trash compactor is wearing a similar hat and hair style to Meg, an ongoing gag that makes the various monsters look like Meg.
