About the Zheitsev’s Eruption:
The Zheitsev’s Eruption is a Legendary weapon in Borderlands 3. This COV assault rifle deals decent damage when used regularly, however, its legendary special effect boosts the Zheitsev’s Eruption way up. When your weapon overheats and therefore breaks, it shoots out 8 homing projectiles. These will weaken the target making them vulnerable for 7 seconds. Each homing projectile will, therefore, result in a 20% damage boost. By switching your weapon during this “reload” animation you can force the gun’s special ability again and again. Every other weapon can benefit from the bonus damage. You are basically just marking targets this way and dealing damage with your favorite weapon.

- When the weapon breaks it will spit out 8 homing projectiles. Each projectile seeks out a target and applies a 20% damage increase, stacking up to 200% bonus damage.
How to get the Zheitsev’s Eruption?:
The Zheitsev’s Eruption is Mayhem Mode 4 or higher Legendary and has a 25% chance of dropping from Raging Titan who is located in The Slaughter Shaft.
