Best Legendary Grenade Mods
There are a lot of legendary Grenade Mods in Borderlands 3 but like any true Vault Hunter, you only want to best of the best. This weapons guide will tell you exactly which grenade mods you should have equipped in your inventory. So get ready to farm these babies:
6. Epicenter
The Legendary Epicenter Grenade Mod is manufactured by and explodes on impact. Upon detonation, it will shoot out a ring of 13 orbs that deal incendiary damage to enemy targets. The orbs do not deal damage to you.
The Epicenter is an effective grenade in tight spaces because the further the orbs travel the more apart they will be. You should definitely get one with a bounce module on it because each bounce will trigger the Epicenter’s special effect.
The Epicenter has an increased chance of dropping from DJ Deadsk4g who is located in The Splinterlands on Pandora. But this weapon can also be randomly obtained from any suitable loot source as a ‘World Drop’.
5. Hunter Seeker
The Legendary Hunter Seeker Grenade Mod is manufactured by Tediore. While it’s defined as a “Lobbed” grenade it acts more as a “Homing” grenade because when thrown, it will slowly fly towards a nearby enemy and shoot projectiles at its target along its trajectory before exploding on impact.
The great thing about this is that the projectiles count as Weapon Shots and therefore trigger gun-related skills like Short Fuse, Megavore, and Kensei. This can really boost the damage output of this grenade mod.
The Hunter Seeker’s projectiles also benefit from the Crit Bonus that you hold in your hands. FL4K players can abuse this with the Legendary Unforgiven Pistol which has a +300 to 432% Crit Bonus and the Megavore Skill that turns body shots into Critical Hits.
Look for a Hunter Seeker with the Divider module on it because this results in 2 grenades per throw.
The Hunter-Seeker can be obtained from any loot source but has a 15% chance of dropping from Dreg & Rage. They are the pet dragons of the Mother of Grogans. Who is located at The Anvil on Eden-6.
4. Storm Front
The Legendary Storm Front Grenade is manufactured by Vladof (Impact), Hyperion (Longbow), and Tediore (Lobbed). The manufacturer only determines the delivery method but you are best off with a Longbow variant.
When thrown the Storm Front will spawn several MIRV grenades that all deal continuous shock damage. This is a very effective Grenade Mod for stripping multiple enemies from their shields.
The Storm front can be obtained from any loot source but has a 15% chance of dropping from Under Taker who is located in The Droughts on Pandora.
3. Hex
The Legendary Hex Grenade Mod is manufactured by Atlas and therefore always Homing. It will fly towards a target and will swirl around it while dealing constant damage.
Unlike the Storm Front and the Quasar, it can come in different elements. Having a Cryo (vs Armor) or Radiation (vs Shields) variant at your disposal is very useful as these elements are all-around the most effective.
The Hex is still one of the best grenades in Borderlands 3 even while it got nerfed early on in the game’s lifecycle. Gearbox Software later buffed the Hex again. This change brought it back in line with its initial overpowered state.
I prefer this grenade over the next two entries because it’s more fun while mobbing but those two make more sense for End Game performance. However, if you aren’t playing on Max Level Mayhem Mode, you should not worry about that.

The Hex can be obtained from any loot source but has a high chance of dropping from the Sky Bullies who are located in The Anvil on Eden-6.
2. It’s Piss
The Legendary It’s Piss Grenade Mod is manufactured by Vladof and is a utility device for End Game Builds. Grenade damage has a big drop-off in Mayhem Mode, therefore, it is better to boost your Vault Hunter’s damage.
The It’s Piss is a great tool for farming bosses and it also cleanses yourself from status effects. The Cleanse effect sadly doesn’t work on the Cryo/Freeze effect.
The It’s Piss can be obtained from any loot source but has an increased chance of dropping from Sloth & Captain Thunk who are located in Konrad’s Hold on Pandora.
1. Fish Slap
The Legendary Fish Slap Grenade Mod is the most powerful grenade mod for End Game when having Mayhem Mode cranked up to the MAX!
The Fish Slap deals Melee damage which gets boosted by the game’s Mayhem Scaling. Combine this with the Guardian Rank Perk called Groundbreaker and you got yourself a recipe for damage. The Melee attack of the Fish Slap will trigger an Aftershock, dealing 10% of all non-melee damage you have dealt over the last 5 seconds.
Another benefit of dealing Melee damage, you can combine it with an Artifact to restore your Health or Ammo. This is very useful during Raid Bosses like, Hemovorous the Invincible (DLC6).
The Fish Slap is a Revenge of the Cartels Legendary. You can get it from Tyrone Smallums, FISH SLAP!!!, and Joey Ultraviolet in Villa Ultraviolet during the Revenge of the Cartels Event.
