The bullets will explode on impact or after a set time has expired. The Complex Root isn’t designed for long-range sniping as the projectiles don’t travel that far. Also, try and avoid using this weapon at close range as it deals splash damage that can take you down. While the projectiles and therefore the damage continues to stack up, the amount of ammo consumption stays the same throughout the process. The Flipper has an increased chance of dropping from Minosaur who is located in Bloodsun Canyon on Gehenna. But this weapon can also ‘World Drop’ in the Bounty of Blood DLC.

The legendary special effect lets projectiles ricochet off surfaces and swap the projectiles element. So if you are shooting fire projectiles, the missed shots will ricochet and deal shock damage and vise versa. The Hellshock was already an oke weapon for mobbing Maliwan troopers since they have both a shield and a health gauge. By setting the Hellshock on incendiary, you can shoot at the ground just before your enemies and the projectiles will ricochet and strip the shield. Once the shield is gone, you can shoot directly at your opponent to finish the job. The Hellshock can be obtained from any loot source but has a high chance of dropping from Gigamind who is located in the Meridian Metroplex on Promethea.

Recursion

Borderlands 3 Legendary Maliwan Shotgun - Recursion

The Recursion is a Maliwan Shotgun that has a slow fire rate and it even feels slower than the listed fire rate as Maliwan weaponry has a charge-up time. That said, the Recursion does pack a punch as it shoots a tight pellet of projectiles making it very accurate for a shotgun. The projectiles can also ricochet from one enemy to another or bounce off surfaces. The Recursion is really great for clearing mobs especially when you add Anointments to your geat that add elemental damage to your weapon as this adds more projectiles to the weapon.
