Borderlands 2 Best Rocket Launchers
These are your most powerful Rocket Launchers in Borderlands 2.
5. Topneaa
The Topneaa is an E-Tech Rocket Launcher that is manufactured by Vladof. This weapon has a higher DPS than the popular Dum pa Duuurp! Torgue Rocket Launcher. The Topneaa also has a big splash damage radius that you can absorb with your Legendary Sham Shield.
You can get the Topneaa as a random world drop from any suitable loot source.
4. World Burn
The World Burn is an effervescent rocket launcher that is manufactured by Torgue. This is basically the better Nukem as they both shoot a rocket in an arc that explode with a big mushroom cloud, however, the World Burn deals more damage and only consumes 1 ammo per shot.
You can get the World Burn from Lt. Bolson in the DAHL Abandon in the Commander Lilith DLC.
3. Creamer
The Creamer is a unique rocket launcher that is manufactured by Torgue. This weapon shoots a rocket that explodes at a set distance and then sends forth 2 new rockets. If you can find the sweet spot of the set explosion you can hit enemies with all 3 rockets, making it a very damage-efficient launcher.
The Creamer is a Moxxi weapon and therefore will also heal you for 2% of the damage it dealt.
You can get the Creamer by completing Round 5 in the Creature Slaughter Dome DLC.
2. Badaboom
The Badaboom is a legendary rocket launcher that is manufactured by bandits. This weapon shoots 6 rockets at the cost of 1 ammo. It was the ability to deal a lot of direct damage.
You can get the Badaboom from King Mong at Eridium Blight.
1. Norfleet
The Norfleet is THE BEST legendary rocket launcher in Borderlands 2. This Maliwan launcher deals the highest damage per shot and its splash damage radius is huge. You can clear entire rooms with its projectiles which can also be absorbed by the Legendary Sham Shield.
You can get the Norfleet from the hidden raid boss, Vermivorous the Invincible.
Honorable Mentions
These Rocket Launchers might fall short on the “most powerful” list, however, that doesn’t mean they aren’t useful.
Dum pa Duuurp!
The Dum pa Duuurp! is a common Torgue rocket launcher that matches the damage of the E-Tech launchers. While this weapon shoots a bit slow, it still manages to put out good damage. So if you are in need of a solid Rocket Launcher during your playthrough, keep an eye out for this one.
Nukem
The Nukem is a legendary Torgue rocket launcher that lobs rockets in an arc. The explosion has a large blast radius and creates a big mushroom cloud.
You can get the Nukem from The Black Queen that occasionally spawns in The Dust but you can also purchase one from a Torgue vending machine in the Campaign of Carnage DLC.
Hive
The Hive is a unique Maliwan rocket launcher that fires a (Bee) Hive into the air that shoots out homing rockets. You can stick it to enemies or just place it above the battlefield as the Hive-projectile stops in place after a set distance.
You can get the Hive from Saturn in the Arid Nexus Badlands or Digistruct Peak.
Mongol
The Mongol is a legendary Vladof Rocket Launcher that shoots 1 rocket that then randomly spawns additional mini-rockets in its trajectory. It’s most effective at large bosses at range as it can spawn a lot of additional mini-rockets.
You can get the Mongol from Duino’s Mom in Lynchwood or Digistruct Peak.
Conclusion
These are the best Rocket Launchers in Borderlands 2, however, that doesn’t take away that you can have fun with other Rocket Launchers. If you think another Rocket Launcher should be on this list, then let me know in the comments.
