New Tales From The Borderlands is all about making the right choices throughout the game, giving you control over the story and how things unfold. However, the game also sets you up for failure if you haven’t made the correct choices earlier on in its story.
You are reunited with Staple Face in Episode 5 when she somehow joined Tediore and tries to rescue Anu. When the team is on their way to the bridge of the Tediore spaceship, your cover gets blown and shots get fired.
In the heat of the battle, Stapleface gets shot by the Tediore soldiers. However, Anu fails to restore Staple Face’s wounds and doesn’t make it to the end.
Many fans wonder if they can save Staple Face when they go back in time and make different choices leading up to this event. One choice you should make is to tackle Staple Face as she then will give you a hidden Vaultlander.
Sadly there is nothing you can do to change the event so that Stapleface doesn’t get shot. You also cannot change Anu’s failed attempts to rescue Stapleface.
While there needs to be risk and danger in a story. It appears that Gearbox Software once again killed off a beloved character in the Borderlands Universe. Stapleface’s design was interesting and she was liked by members of the community.
