Loot Room on Sanctuary 3
The Director’s Cut for Borderlands 3 comes with these Vault Cards. These provide you with challenges and cool rewards. One of the things that Gearbox Software previously didn’t mention but that is part of this DLC is Diamond Keys and a hidden Armory aboard Sanctuary 3.
You can earn Diamond Keys and use these to unlock the Armory. You can find this room on the lower level of Sanctuary 3’s bridge. Just walk past all the terminals on the bridge and go down the stairs in the back of the room. There you will find the Diamond Armory aka Loot Room.
Inside the Diamond Armory
Once inside you will find that the walls are filled with gear. However, you can only pick 1 item from each wall and there is a countdown timer so you don’t have all the time in the world to choose your rewards. Judging from the footage you will have 300 seconds to make your choice. While 5 minutes might sound like a lot, comparing all the stats will quickly consume your time.
The Loot
- Walls filled with Gear
- 30 Shield Mods
- 15 to 30 Weapons depending if a weapon takes 1 or 2 slots per shutter
- 30 Grenade Mods
You can even get DLC legendaries from the Diamond Armory. You can see an example of this in the video as some of the shutters contain DLC items !!!
Diamond Loot Chest
Once you have chosen your 3 items, the Diamond Loot Chest in the center of the room will power up and will give you a guaranteed legendary item. So you will be leaving this room with 4 awesome pieces of gear to create your ultimate Vault Hunter.
In case you were wondering, Yes, the chest in the center is the same Diamond Loot chest from the Collector’s Edition.
You can get Diamond Keys by opening up Vault Card Chests. You will need to have access to DLC6, The Director’s Cut, and have a Vault Card active. By simply playing the game and completing challenges you will earn XP that goes towards your Vault Card. Each time you ‘level up’ your Vault Card, you’ll score a Vault Card Chest unique to that Card. These Chests contain various rewards and one of them is a Diamond Key, however, they are super rare as you only have 4.62% chance to get a Diamond Key.
Diamond Keys are occasionally given out through SHiFT Codes but it’s super rare. Special Holidays, Big Anniversaries, Major Events, or Randy Pitchford’s Birthday. If that ever happens, I’ll directly add them to the Borderlands 3 SHiFT Code Archive.
