How Loot Luck Actually Works in Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands

Tiny Tina's Wonderlands Loot Luck Guide
Tiny Tina's Wonderlands Loot Luck Guide

Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands has a new Loot Luck mechanic. The rarity economy in the game is therefore shaped differently than you might be custom to in Borderlands 3. Loot Luck affects both World Drops and Dedicated Drops.

As your Loot Luck starts off low you will initially find fewer Legendary items in Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands when you are just starting out, however, as you continue to play the game your Loot Luck will increase, and therefore you will boost the legendary drop rates.

At the launch of Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands, it is possible to boost your Loot Luck to over 40,000 but only if you manage to find and equip the right Luck items and engage with the Luck system.

The current Max Loot Luck is 90,000 but you will be playing on Chaos Level 50, so get yourself an awesome build.

Player Level

Your player level also affects your Loot Luck. So by simply leveling up, you are improving your chances of getting better rewards. So go kill some stuff to reach the max level cap.

A Fatemaker at level 5 that doesn’t touch dice, etc, will have a Dedicated drop rate of around 1 in 32 runs. At Level 10 this is around 1 in 24 and at Level 40 you are able to get around 1 in 12 runs.

Golden Dice

There are Golden Dice hidden throughout the Wonderlands. By collecting them you will not only get some loot based on the roll but collecting these Golden Dice will also increase your Loot Luck.

There are 260 Golden Dice for you to find and if you collected them all you also complete the Lucky Dice Campaign Challenge that adds another 20% Loot Luck.

Amulets

Amulets can have a passive Loot Luck bonus on them. You will be able to equip Amulets after completing the quest; “Emotion of the Ocean”. You will likely be somewhere around LVL 12. So that’s pretty early on in the game.

Luck Shrine

There are multiple Shires in the Overworld Map of Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands. One of them is the Shrine of Aaron G. By collecting all 4 Shrine pieces you will get an additional 10% Loot Luck Bonus.

You can simply obtain these Aaron G Shrine Pieces by completing the temple challenges in that area. A Crystal will show up on your map and Tiny Tina will call out that there is a Shrine Piece hidden inside.

Enchantment

There is an “Always On Enchantment” that provides you with a Loot Luck increase. You can use the re-roll machine in the Armory or Chaos Chamber to re-roll an item and boost your luck that way.

Chaos Levels

After you completed the main story, you are able to enter the Chaos Chamber. There you can do Chaos Trails which lets you unlock new Chaos Levels. With each Chaos Level, you not just increase the difficulty of the game but also increase your Loot Luck.

Myth Rank

You unlock Myth Rank once you reached LVL 40. The experience points you gain will now level up your Myth Rank. If you spec into the Druid constellation you can build up your Loot Luck even more.
