Vaultlander Locations in New Tales From The Borderlands

Vaultlanders are collectible figurines in New Tales From The Borderlands. Some of them are easily obtained while others are more challenging to find. In this guide, I’m going to help you collect every Vaultlander in New Tales From The Borderlands.

There are 16 Vaultlander hidden in the main game, you can get an additional 3 through Gearbox Software’s SHiFT program, and then there is one you could obtain by pre-ordering the game.

Vaultlanders in the Main Menu

You can get 3 Vaultlanders in the main menu by using Gearbox Software’s SHiFT service.

Salvador

You get the Salvador Vaultlander by connecting your game with Gearbox Software’s SHiFT Service. You can do this in the main menu.

HOT Loader

You can get the HOT Loader Vaultlander by using this New Tales From The Borderlands SHiFT Code.

You can get Axton by Liking or Sharing a specific social media post by Gearbox Software or the Official Borderlands Channel.

Every Vaultlanders in Episode #1

You can find 3 Vaultlanders in Episode 1.

Phuong

When Anu is escaping the Atlas Spaceship in Chapter 2. Phuong is about to create a distraction so you can escape. She will give you her custom Vaultlander just before she runs off. You always get this one, you don’t need to hug her for the Vaultlander.

Claptrap

When playing Octavio in chapter 2 you need to return Junipor to Paco. When you successfully do this, Paco will install 2 new apps on your Echodex. One lets you hack certain tech the other lets you find Vaultlanders. Don’t be tempted to fix the radio as it’s right next to you. Instead, you first want to scan the trash pile across Paco’s stand where you initially started this zone. You will find the Claptrap Vaultlander in the garbage pile.

Amara

When Fran showcases the damage to her Frogurt Shop to Reba in Chapter 2. You first need to show the rubble on the right of the counter and then smash it. You will find the Amara Vaultlander underneath the rubble.

Every Vaultlanders in Episode #2

You can only find one Vaultlanders in Episode 2.

Zane

You will need to sneak past a Tediore soldier in chapter 3. Octavio will hide under a box but gets spotted. This is the first Vaultlanders battle against Badass Superfan. Win this Vaultlander battle in order to obtain the Zane Vaultlander from the Tediore soldier.

You can only find 2 Vaultlanders in Episode 3.

Vazquez

When Anu needs to look for spare parts in Chapter 2, you need to inspect the fridge in the backroom where Hank is/was. Badass Superfan is hiding inside the fridge and will challenge you to a dual. You need to win this Vaultlanders battle to win the Vasquez Vaultlander.

Roland

When playing as Anu and you need to fix the dead body in the morgue in chapter 6. You will need to check the storage units in the back of the room. Badass Superfan is hiding inside the cold locker and will challenge you to a dual. When you win this Vaultanders battle you get the Roland Vaultlander.

Every Vaultlanders in Episode #4

You can find 4 Vaultlanders in Episode 4.

Maya

When Anu has her own lab and needs to solve scientific problems in chapter 4, you can find the Maya Vaultlander. It is standing on the desk at the end of the room. Simply pick it up.

Brick

When Fran inspects her new Froyo shop in chapter 4. You need to open the car trunk on the left side of the shop. Badass Superfan is hiding inside the trunk and he will challenge you to a dual. Win this Vaultlander battle to get the Brick Vaultlander.

Mordecai

When Fran inspects her new Froyo shop in chapter 4. You need to inspect the cash register on the counter. You will find the Mordecai Vaultlander inside the register.

Moze

When Fran tries to rescue Lou13 in chapter 4 you will be interfered by Badass superfan. He will challenge you to another dual. When you win this Vaultlanders Battle you will get the Moze figurine.

Every Vaultlanders in Episode #5

You can find 2 Vaultlanders in Episode 5.

Handsome Jack

You can find the Handsome Jack Vaultlander when you play as Octavio and you reached Susan Coldwell’s office in chapter 4. There is a red X in the left back corner of the office. Badass Superfan will jump at you when you try to pick it up. You will need to win the Duel in order to obtain the Handsome Jack Vaultlander.

Krieg

When Octavio, Fran, and Lou13 find Anu strapped to a surgery table in chapter 4. You need to tackle Stapleface because only then she will give you the Krieg Vaultlander as a sign of friendship.

Every Vaultlanders in the Ending

You can get 4 Vaultlanders when completing the story campaign. There are a bunch of false guides on the internet that don’t have this info correct. Because I have seen other guides that mention you need to get at least 50% in a relationship metric, however, if that was the case I would have received them all at once and that wasn’t the case.

Lilith

During the final chapter of your playthrough, you need to reject the shard. This ending gave me the Lilith Vaultlander.

Fiona

During the final chapter of your playthrough, you need to merge with the shard. This ending gave me the Fiona Vaultlander.

Ellie

Trigger Unknown because the 50% Frogurt ‘n Tacos score that other sites mentioned didn’t work for me.

Zero

You need to get a Skateboard Score of at least 75% when completing the story in order to get the Zer0 Vaultlander.
