Zero is a Assassin, little is known about his origin. The guardian Angel doesn’t even know if he is human. Most of Zero’s dialogue is done in haiku.
This Borderlands 2 Wallpaper featuring Zero the Assassin is the first solo wallpaper i made for the Vault Hunter Zero. I thought it would be cool to make the wallpaper look like it’s been cut by Zero’s blade. Therefore i made the background look like a curling paper by highlighting the edges i wanted to give the impression that the katana just went through. Back then drawing these kind of things what challenging for me. Just like Zero i do like a challenge. This Zero Wallpaper hadn’t had this look at first, it has had some revisions. When i posted my first unfinished concept i received some feedback from the Borderlands community that they had a different impression of what look & feel Zero should have. Because back then Borderlands 2 wasn’t released yet and little was shown of the game. The original concept was orange at first, a color i thought fitted the wallpaper because it was a staple color of Borderlands 2. After the feedback i went back to the drawing board and changed the backdrop into the black grid.

Later on i did add a few more elements to this wallpaper so it evolved over time. Transferring this wallpaper from my DeviantArt to my website i did another remaster on the Zero wallpaper and that is what you see today.
