About Borderlands 2 Wallpaper – Zero Shield
Before Borderlands 2 got released Gearbox Software released some screenshots from their upcoming game. Because i liked the badass look of Zero the Assassin i thought i’ll let him do something really badass. By combining some of these early screenshots i managed to compose the illusion that Zero is taking on several gyrocopters (Buzzards) all by himself. As Zero charges towards his opponents he is ready to take them out with his sword. While making his way over there bullets fly everywhere and are deflecting of his energy shield. What makes the title of this wallpaper a bit of a word play. The original wallpaper was created back in 2012 and now (2015) is making it’s way to my own website. Instead of doing a stead port i remastered this Borderlands wallpaper a bit. Staying true to the original design put giving it a little update here and there. With the existing elements i enhanced some effects like the bubble shield but also added some more glow and lens flare to it. Gave the bullets some more impact by adding some sand/dust explosions. One thing i added to the scene is the Hyperion space station of Handsome Jack, it’s one of those iconic things in the game. Although it was not present in the original screenshots it is a thing the developers also wanted in their game, to always have the space station looking over your shoulders.
