DK makes his return on a Nintendo console with Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, this fifth game in the series and takes place on Donkey Kong’s birthday, letterly. The release date of this game is the 20th anniversary of Donkey Kong Country series. The game starts of with the Kongs and a big birthday cake, but before the party goes wild a snowy storm trashes the party. Donkey Kong, Diddy Kong, Dixi Kong and Cranky Kong are blown away by this blizzard emerging from a giant ice dragon. The DK island is taken over by the snowmads and the kongs fly all the way on to the Lost Mangroves island. Now they have to travel across 5 different islands to turn back home and defeat the snowmads and restore their beloved island back to normal.
Tropical Freeze is the first HD Donkey Kong game and is being developed by Retro Studios, the masterminds behind the successful Metroid Prime series. This Donkey Kong Wallpaper is inspired by the loading screens of Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze, they have a silhouette like feel to them. One of the levels in the game has a factory where the make jelly with grapes. I thought that the color pallet of that level would work well on these wallpaper set i have been making. But because of my female followers i made it a bit lighter for their enjoyment, so it’s a bit more pink than purple.
