Splatoon is Nintendo’s take on the third person shooter genre. It’s nothing like a gear of war, but it does have fun features. In splatoon you play as a squid, you have two forms. One as a squid and a human form. In you human form you run around with your ink pellet gun. By shooting you can eliminate targets or paint the environment. As a squid you can you can swim through the ink that you and your teammates splattered on the floor and walls. This way you can swiftly move across the map as you can easily swim up walls or through gates. By swimming in the ink you restock your ammo. During multiplayer you and your team need to take over the map by painting it in your team color. Shooting down the enemy team doesn’t give you points but it does stop them from painting. The team who claimed most of the map wins.
This splatoon wallpaper is based on the catroon design of the inklings in their squid form. It’s a simple and clean design. As reference i used the splatoon pin that i earned at gamescom 2014 by playing the game on the Nintendo stand (i totally owned the other team and ranked nr.1 during both encounters). Although this isn’t a hard design i think it is something fans can appreciate.
